The Taipei City Government Department of Economic Development launched the Global Pass program in 2024 to strengthen international connections for Taipei-based enterprises.
This program supports companies in entering overseas co-working spaces for short-term business development, while also enabling them to engage with startup communities abroad, interact with investors and partners, and better understand local market needs. By doing so, enterprises can expand their global networks and accelerate international market growth.
Who Can Apply
The applicant company must be registered in Taipei City and meet the SME criteria set by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, including “Paid-in capital under NT$100 million”, or “Fewer than 200 full-time employees”.
The applicant must be a Taipei-registered headquarters with an overseas subsidiary established within the past 3 years.
How to Apply
Join the official Global Pass LINE account and register as a member. Membership must be completed before requesting subsidies.
Choose a co-working space that collaborates with Taipei City, or any other overseas co-working space that fits business needs.
Applicants must independently apply for the space and make payment. Within 15 calendar days after completing the co-working space usage, submit the reimbursement form with receipts and required documents to apply for subsidies. Required documents include:
For partnered co-working spaces: electronic receipts and usage description.
For other co-working spaces: name and website of the facility, contract or proof of usage, receipts, and usage description.
Compliance Matters
The program subsidizes 100% of co-working space usage fees, with no limit on the number of applications per company, up to an annual maximum of NT$60,000. The subsidy amount is calculated based on the Bank of Taiwan’s spot foreign exchange selling rate on the date of application (or the preceding day if it falls on a national holiday), and approvals are granted on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhauste
The LINE platform provides information on Taipei City’s partnered co-working spaces and is used for reimbursement applications. Enterprises must apply for space usage and pay fees directly to the co-working space.
For usage after November 15, 2025, reimbursement applications must be submitted by November 30, 2025 with receipts, supporting documents, and the reimbursement form. Late or incomplete submissions will not be subsidized.
The co-working space must be an official co-working space. Usage receipts must clearly state business purposes such as desk usage, meeting room rental, events, or business development. Facilities such as hotel business centers, Airbnbs, or cafés are not eligible.
The organizer may request additional proof of usage (e.g., photos of activities or meetings, usage records).
Enterprises must cooperate with program performance tracking within one year after subsidy completion.
Texts, photos, videos, and other materials submitted by enterprises may be used and reproduced by the organizer for public welfare or promotional purposes. Refusal is not permitted.
Applicants must adhere to principles of integrity. Any false statements, major violations, or conduct harmful to the program’s reputation will result in subsidy revocation, disqualification from the program for 3 years, and potential legal liability.
The organizer reserves the right to interpret any doubts or unaddressed matters related to this program.
Since this program adopts a reimbursement model, the organizer holds the final review authority over subsidy applications.
